We Dream on Dandilions

Welcome to August!

Can you believe it? Summer is over for those who start school and soon we will be having visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads. But let's not get too carried away. Let's still focus on the here and now. And here and now, it's hot!!

I mean that both literally and figuratively. It's been in the triple digits here in California but I will stay grateful that the humidity doesn't exist. Glass half full? Maybe because it's evaporated...

Anyway, in our house August means a lot of new beginnings. M (my eldest) is starting preschool this week, O and N (the twins) are turning the big 1, and I've started a new job along with staying as a full time stay at home momma.

Yes, I took the plunge and dove head first into the world of home based businesses and I have become a consultant for Close To My Heart. I am SO EXCITED!!!!! I just get this goofy grin across my face whenever I think about it. I love love love to craft, especially paper craft, and now, I'm getting paid to do it! How cool is that?! I'm spending my free time creating birthday decorations for the twins' birthday party and scrapbook layouts for my big girl's adventure pictures and I am getting paid to do it. I love it. I love it. I love it.

I'd like to share something with you for just a moment. When I set up my website with Close To My Heart, I chose "dandiliondreams" for a reason. Dandelions are the flower of the military child. This is because dandelions are made for wishes and dreams and can be found everywhere from south Georgia to the Last Frontier in Alaska. I have been blessed with three little "dandilions". (Yes, I know the spelling is different.) In this crazy life they are a part of, that just so happens to be grown on a military foundation, I want to instill in them the strength to grow anywhere with the capabilities to dream and wish for everything. By becoming a Close To My Heart Consultant, I feel like I am able to better capture each and every moment of their lives and cherishing and preserving those memories. I can stay a Stay at Home Mom while providing just a little extra to enjoy something a little more special. I think that the sentiment that Dandelions are the flower for the military child is so beautiful and I want to make sure I share that with all of you.

Now, I have a Facebook party lined up next week from August 8th through the 14th. Every day I'll be focusing on different products sold by Close To My Heart and tips and tricks to make crafting easier. I'll also be playing games and offering the opportunity to win prizes and earn tickets for the grand prize. Check out the link to join in on the fun: https://www.facebook.com/events/984648561656669/

I'm working on creating some kits that you can purchase so all you would have to do is put it all together, no cutting or stamping required. I'll also be putting together some workshops to include card making, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and DIY décor both online and on site near me if you are local.

I can't wait to share all that CTMH has to offer! If you want to go ahead and see some of their amazing paper and stamps and tools, head on over to my website at
dandiliondreams.ctmh.com
and put some goodies in that cart! Don't forget to join the Gathering (aka party) at the bottom of the home screen before submitting your order. Please and thank you! For some insight on what is new and old for the month of August, check out my video. Until we craft again, happy creating!
